CtrlS Datacenters has begun construction on a new data center in Bhopal, India. The facility will be located on a five-acre site at Badwai IT Park and is designed to provide 24/7 operational reliability and high uptime. The company has committed an investment of Rs 500 crore ($59 million) to the project, which is expected to create over 200 jobs.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, highlighting the state's support for data center investments. CtrlS selected Madhya Pradesh for its strategic location and potential as a technology talent hub. The project aligns with the state's Global Capability Centers Policy, which offers incentives to attract tech investments.
CtrlS operates 15 data centers across India with a total capacity of 250MW and has plans for further expansion in cities like Patna, Lucknow, and Bhubaneswar. The company is also working toward powering all its sites with solar energy, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability.
