Nxtra Agartala I is a 5MW data center being developed by Nxtra by Airtel in Agartala, India. The facility represents an investment of Rs 2 billion ($22 million) and its foundation stone was recently laid. Located in Chanmari, near Agartala, the data center is expected to span 80,000 sq ft (7,432 sqm). This development marks a significant step for data center infrastructure in India's northeastern region, an area not traditionally considered a data center hotspot. Nxtra by Airtel is the data center arm of Bharti Airtel, a major Indian telecommunications company. The company is also enhancing its cloud offerings, Airtel Cloud, with IBM's support, providing Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service.
