The GTA Alupang Data Center, located in Tamuning, Guam, is a significant facility designed to meet Tier 3 compliance standards. It offers 4MW of power capacity across 31,000 square feet of space, with 11,000 square feet dedicated to IT infrastructure.
The data center is engineered to withstand extreme geological and weather events, including Category 5 typhoon activity and seismic Zone 4 compliance, and is situated 22 feet above the high-water mark to mitigate tsunami and flood risks. It features a fully redundant power infrastructure with 2N UPS and N+1 diesel backup generators, providing five days of fuel at full capacity.
Security is paramount, with 24x7x365 manned NOC operations, on-site security, mantraps, and comprehensive video surveillance. The facility is carrier-neutral, offering direct interconnections to submarine cable operators and Guam-based telcos, with speeds up to 100 Gbps available for IP bandwidth, transit, and wavelength/Ethernet backhaul.
Alupang Data Center is a critical landing station for multiple subsea cables, including MYUS, Bifrost, and ACC-1, solidifying Guam's position as a gateway for regional and global digital connectivity.
