Portus Data Centers is expanding its Munich colocation campus with the construction of Portus Data Centers Munich 2 (MUC2), a 5.5-megawatt facility. The new data center will add 2,200 square meters (23,680 sq ft) of white space, increasing the site's total IT load capacity to 7 megawatts.

The Tier III-quality carrier-neutral facility is designed to support workloads ranging from standard power densities to liquid-cooled AI hardware. It will be fully EnEfG-compliant, meeting Germany’s energy efficiency regulations. Construction has already begun, with initial capacity expected to be delivered by late 2026.

Portus Data Centers Munich 2 is part of the company’s broader buy-and-build growth strategy for the DACH region. The expansion reinforces Portus’ commitment to digital sovereignty, sustainability, and high-performance IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable and scalable solutions for its customers.
