Nexspace is developing a new data center facility in Erding, Germany, located in the Erding Süd commercial area. This facility will offer 4MW of IT capacity (6MW total) and is scheduled to become operational in 2028.
The new data center aims to provide companies in the Munich region with secure and highly available on-site IT infrastructure. Nexspace's strategy involves developing smaller Edge facilities in regional cities and towns across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, focusing on short distances, personal contact, and high-performance technologies.
Nexspace, launched in 2023 and owned by InfraRed Capital Partners, currently operates and develops data centers in Heidelberg, Graz, and Stuttgart. The Erding facility represents an expansion of their Edge portfolio, contributing to their goal of making computing power and sovereign IT services regionally accessible.
