M-net Telekommunikations GmbH is constructing a new colocation facility, M-Net Munich 2, located in Munich, Germany. The data center is scheduled to open in 2028 and will span 1,500 sqm (16,145 sq ft).

This state-of-the-art facility will offer 1.6MW of IT compute power and is being built to comply with the European Union's EN 50600 standard. Key features include an 800 GbE Internet connection, redundant cooling and power systems, an uninterruptible power supply, and emergency power backup. M-net is committed to sustainability, with main power supplied through renewable energy contracts, targeting a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.2 or less.

Security measures will include biometric systems, video surveillance, and 24/7 monitoring by M-net's network operations center. The redundant design of critical systems and direct fiber optic connections are intended to ensure high availability and reliability for demanding digital applications. M-net, founded in 1996 and headquartered in Munich, already operates two data centers in Munich and one in Nuremberg.
