STACKIT Lübbenau

STACKIT Lübbenau is a large-scale data center being developed by the Schwarz Group, the parent company of Lidl and Kaufland. Located on a 13-hectare site in Lübbenau, Germany, the facility is designed to process and store vast amounts of company and customer data, including delivery and ordering processes, payment transactions, and customer loyalty programs. The data will be managed within the company's own cloud infrastructure, ensuring secure and efficient operations.

The center will feature six buildings housing computing equipment, a five-story administration building, and a substation, with a total connected load of 200 megawatts. It is the fourth such facility built by the Schwarz Group in Germany, strategically positioned in eastern Germany to mitigate risks associated with system failures, cyberattacks, and natural disasters. The waste heat generated by the data center will be repurposed by local utilities and integrated into the district heating network.
