noris network operates a data center in Hof that is strategically located in the center of Germany.

The traffic infrastructure alone makes Hof highly attractive as a location, whose many freeways, highways, rail links and regional airport make it a major traffic hub. Accenture takes over the system house of Schmidt Bank. The facility begins serving as an IT service hub for the bank (later rescued by Commerzbank) and four other financial institutions.

Noris Network AG acquires the complex in Hof from Accenture. As part of the deal, Accenture remains a partner, shifting from "owner" to "service recipient."

The facility officially re-launches as HOF1.
