Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC)
Visit Website
The Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC), located in Jülich, Germany, operates as a premier high-performance computing (HPC) and AI data center. It is home to some of Europe's most powerful supercomputers, notably JUPITER, which holds the distinction of being Europe's first exascale supercomputer. Other significant systems include JUWELS and JURECA.
The JSC's infrastructure extends beyond computing power, encompassing large-scale storage systems like JUST and custom-built data center facilities. These include innovative modular container-based data centers specifically engineered for high-density liquid cooling solutions.
Beyond its role in data hosting, the JSC is a hub for cutting-edge research. Its focus areas include advancements in supercomputing, AI at scale, quantum computing through its JUNIQ initiative, and the development of neuromorphic systems.
