Maincubes, a prominent European data center developer and operator, has recently expanded its footprint with the acquisition of a 14-hectare plot in Nauen, near Berlin. This new site, designated as BER02, is set to become a cutting-edge data center campus optimized for cloud services, high-performance computing (HPC), and artificial intelligence (AI). The initial phase of construction is slated to commence in the summer of 2025, aiming for completion in 2027.

The BER02 campus is strategically positioned to leverage the region's renewable energy resources, with plans to integrate solar and wind power directly into the data center's operations. Additionally, the development will contribute to the local community by providing waste heat to the city of Nauen through a heating network.

This project represents a significant step for Maincubes, following their successful ventures in Frankfurt and Amsterdam. The Nauen campus aligns with the company's commitment to digital transformation, offering secure and sustainable infrastructure critical for the future of digital services.
