Bluestar Data Centre is a sustainable, high-performance facility being developed in Berlin by PREA Group GmbH and Van Caem Projects. The campus will have a 100MW power connection, with 69.5MW of IT capacity, making it the largest rentable data center in the city. The facility is designed to support colocation and hyperscale customers, addressing Berlin’s growing demand for secure and flexible digital infrastructure.

The data center will feature energy-efficient cooling, renewable energy sources, and waste heat utilization to supply approximately 2 million square meters of residential, commercial, and hospital space. Bluestar is TÜV-certified and ISO-accredited, ensuring high security, efficiency, and sustainability. The facility will also include a customer-owned substation to transform power from 110kV to 10kV, along with 32 backup power units for uninterrupted operations.

Bluestar is divided into four separate buildings, each with four floors, supporting IT capacities of 4MW per floor and 3MW on ground floors. The project aims to set a new benchmark in district heating and climate protection, reinforcing Berlin’s commitment to green energy. The facility is expected to be operational by 2026, positioning itself as a model for future digital infrastructure.
