TELEHOUSE Europe

Telehouse, a subsidiary of KDDI, has announced plans for a 50MW data center near Marseille, France, as part of a €1 billion investment in expanding its data center footprint in the country. The facility will span 60,000 square meters and is expected to be completed by 2027.

This new data center will complement Telehouse's existing 8,000-square-meter facility in Marseille, which serves as a key cable landing station for numerous subsea cables. The expansion underscores Marseille's strategic importance as a connectivity hub, linking Europe to Africa, the Middle East, and Asia through subsea cable networks.
