Eclairion Loire-sur-Rhône is a planned data center project situated in Creys-Mépieu, France, at the former site of the Loire-sur-Rhône power station. This facility is designed to offer a significant IT capacity of 350MW. The project is being developed by Eclairion, a company founded in 2024 and owned by High Performance Capital (HPC Group). Eclairion is also developing other data center sites across France, including one outside Paris intended to host infrastructure for AI lab Mistral. The selection of Eclairion for this project reflects the company's business model and team expertise, as highlighted by CEO Arnaud Lepinois. The former power station site, decommissioned in 2005, provides a unique location for this new data center development.
