The oXya Loos Data Center in northern France is a purpose‑built facility designed to host and manage mission‑critical SAP environments. Developed in multiple phases since 2003, it now comprises three server rooms of 250–350 m² each, with an IT load density of up to 1.5 kW/m². The site was engineered to Tier III‑equivalent standards, ensuring high availability and resilience for enterprise workloads.
Power is delivered through three transformers rated 800–1250 kVA, backed by six UPS units and three diesel generators for full redundancy. Cooling is provided by precision direct‑expansion units with cold aisle containment, supported by a VRF system for efficiency. Environmental controls maintain stable temperature and humidity, achieving a PUE of around 1.6 while meeting strict acoustic limits due to its urban location.
The facility is equipped with inert gas fire suppression, water leak detection, CCTV, access control, and centralized monitoring. Designed and delivered by EDEIS with FläktGroup cooling systems, the latest expansion in 2013 added capacity without interrupting operations. Today, it serves as a secure, efficient, and scalable platform for oXya’s managed SAP hosting services.
