Polarnode Oy

Polarnode Nokia is a planned data center in Nokia, Finland, developed in partnership with the City of Nokia. The project will be built on a 5.5-hectare industrial plot in the Juhansuo district, approximately four kilometers from Nokia’s city center. Designed for high-density computing, the facility will have an initial capacity of 30MW, with potential expansion up to 100MW. The investment is expected to reach hundreds of millions of euros, reinforcing Nokia’s role in Finland’s growing digital infrastructure sector.

The site benefits from legally approved zoning, ensuring a fast route to market, and is supported by planned electricity grid upgrades to accommodate future demand. The facility will integrate waste heat utilization, water and sewerage access, and high-speed connectivity, making it an efficient and sustainable data center location. The Tampere Region has historically had limited large-scale data center projects, but Nokia’s strategic location and infrastructure improvements make it an attractive site for development.
