The Vatajankoski Kirkkokallio data center, located in the Kirkkokallio Eco-Industrial Park in Kankaanpää, Finland, is a 1MW containerized facility operated by E-Heat. This data center is integrated into the local district heating network managed by Vatajankoski Oy. Waste heat generated by the data center is used to heat water to approximately 80°C (176°F), which is then fed into the Vatajankoski district heating system. This initiative aims to significantly reduce reliance on combustion for heating in the Honkajoki urban area, with the data center's heat becoming a primary source. The facility represents a sustainable approach to data center operations by repurposing waste heat for community benefit.
