Regant Naarajärvi

Regant Oy is planning a new data center in Naarajärvi, Pieksämäki, Finland. The proposed site is located in the Leppäkangas area, about five kilometers from Pieksämäki’s town center, along Highway 23 and near the local airport.

The company intends to purchase nearly 19 hectares of land from the City of Pieksämäki. However, the land deal can only proceed after a detailed zoning plan is approved. The municipal technical committee has already proposed initiating the zoning process.

Initial plans suggest that the facility could range from 40,000 to 90,000 square meters in size. It is still in an early development phase, with no fixed timeline for construction or launch.

Regant cited the region’s strong transport links and access to electrical infrastructure as key advantages. The location is also expected to benefit from proximity to other renewable energy initiatives in the area.

This would be Regant’s second announced data center project in South Savo, alongside their development in Mikkeli’s Visulahti district. The company has also expressed interest in additional sites across Finland.
