Polarnode Heinola is a planned data center project located in Vierumäki Business Park, Heinola, Finland. Spanning 11 hectares, the facility is designed to support 40MW of IT capacity, catering to high-density computing and AI-driven workloads. The project is being developed in partnership with the City of Heinola, following a cooperation agreement that ensures a transparent and responsible development process.

The site benefits from industrial zoning, allowing for a fast route to market, with construction expected to begin in early 2026. Heinola’s strategic location provides strong connectivity, access to water and sewerage infrastructure, and waste heat utilization, reinforcing its sustainability focus. The facility will integrate low-carbon energy solutions, aligning with Finland’s commitment to green infrastructure.

Beyond its technical advantages, Polarnode Heinola is expected to boost local employment and economic growth, supporting Finland’s expanding digital economy. The project is part of Polarnode’s broader strategy to develop sustainable data centers, alongside its initiatives in Lappeenranta, Nokia, and Pori.
