DayOne, a Singapore-based data center developer, is launching a €1.2 billion campus in Lahti, Finland, marking its first major European expansion. The facility will be built on a repurposed industrial site in the Kiveriö district and is expected to reach 128MW of IT capacity at full build-out. Initial demolition begins in late 2025, with the first 50MW phase scheduled to go live in 2027.

The project aligns with Lahti’s carbon neutrality goals and leverages Finland’s cool climate, renewable energy infrastructure, and skilled workforce to enhance operational efficiency. DayOne plans to incorporate free-cooling and is exploring heat reuse options. The company is currently in discussions with potential tenants, though no contracts have been finalized.
