Greensky Huittinen

Greensky Energy Oy is planning a significant data center development in Huittinen, Finland, located in Hankaanmaa, Korvenkylä. The project aims to establish a campus with a total capacity of up to 250 megawatts (MW), with the first phase targeting 100MW. This initiative is set to be implemented in stages.

The chosen location in Hankaanmaa is considered appropriate due to its strong energy infrastructure and proximity to renewable energy sources, minimizing the need for extensive new cable corridors and reducing environmental impact. The site is also situated away from residential areas and is well-integrated into the surrounding forestry landscape.

The data center project is expected to bring substantial investments, estimated at EUR 0.8–1.2 billion for a 100MW facility, create new jobs, and generate tax revenue, thereby strengthening the local economy and improving municipal services in Huittinen. The project is currently in the planning phase, with a detailed plan and various studies underway. Greensky Energy Oy, founded in 2023, focuses on renewable energy projects and acts as a development partner for landowners and international energy investors.
