Verne Global has announced plans for a new, next-generation sustainable data center campus in Mäntsälä, Finland. This facility, with an initial capacity of over 70 MW, will cater to high-performance computing (HPC) and AI workloads, operating entirely on renewable energy. The 10-hectare campus, located just 40 minutes from Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport, aims to support data-intensive enterprises and AI innovators.
Designed with sustainability in mind, the data center will maximize efficiency and minimize environmental impact. It will be powered by 100% renewable energy sources, and the waste heat generated will be used to power local community heating projects. Construction is set to begin in mid-2025 and is expected to take two years to complete.
