Winda Energy Oy

Winda Energy Oy is developing a significant 100MW data center project in Rastikangas, Turenki, Finland. Located at Välirasti 2 within the MORE-Rastikangas industrial zone, the project spans 22.42 hectares and is planned for a building area of 112,110 sqm. Construction is slated to commence in 2027, with the first phase expected to be operational by the end of 2028 and the second phase by 2030. The investment is estimated at €450-500 million. This state-of-the-art facility is specifically designed for high computing power requirements, including artificial intelligence (AI). Winda Energy, a Finnish renewable energy firm founded in 2011, is collaborating with European investment company Gi21 Capital, which brings over 20 years of data center development and operational experience. The project is expected to create over 1,000 person-years of employment during construction and 30-40 local specialist roles during operation, contributing positively to the municipality's vitality and economic growth through tax revenues.
