Telecom Egypt RDH2

Telecom Egypt RDH 2, located in Gizaz, Egypt, has achieved Tier III Design Certification from the Uptime Institute. This certification validates that the data center's design meets rigorous mechanical, electrical, structural, and site criteria, ensuring its capacity and functionality align with engineering and architectural plans.

With an estimated IT load of 4.6MW, RDH 2 represents a significant expansion to address the growing demand for secure and resilient data center services in the Cairo market. The facility is designed to enhance Telecom Egypt's IT infrastructure, offering improved scalability and business continuity, particularly for cloud transitions.

Telecom Egypt is also pursuing LEED registration for RDH 2, underscoring a commitment to energy-efficient and sustainable development. This initiative focuses on optimizing resource use and reducing environmental impact.

Expected to be completed by the end of 2025, RDH 2 will leverage Egypt's position as a global connectivity hub, supported by submarine cable systems, to further strengthen Telecom Egypt's leadership in the regional data center market.
