Netic DC5 is a purpose-built Tier 3 data center located at the Port of Aalborg, Denmark, designed to host critical infrastructure workloads for Danish enterprises and public organizations. Commissioned in April 2022, the facility spans 1,000 square meters and supports eight server rooms with a scalable power capacity of up to 1 MW. It features multiple independent paths for power and cooling, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance, even during maintenance or component failure.
The data center was developed by Coromatic in close collaboration with Netic, integrating advanced electrical, cooling, and security systems. Equipment includes generators, UPS systems, high-efficiency chillers, ventilation, access control, and surveillance. DC5 is optimized for year-round free cooling and is prepared to supply surplus heat to Aalborg’s district heating network, underlining its environmental integration potential.
Netic DC5 is powered entirely by renewable energy sources, primarily wind, and has been engineered for maximum energy efficiency with plans to obtain ISO 14001 certification. The facility reflects Netic’s broader mission to combine operational resilience with sustainability, catering to growing demand for secure and responsible digital infrastructure.
