CRA DC Strahov

CRA DC Strahov, located in Prague 6-Břevnov, Czech Republic, is a new data center facility opened by Ceske Radiokomunikace (CRA). This data center is primarily designed to serve as a geographically proximate backup location for clients of the larger CRA DC Tower, thereby increasing operational security and resilience.

The investment in the development of CRA DC Strahov amounted to tens of millions of Czech crowns. The facility utilizes existing CRA premises and became available in February of the current year. CRA emphasizes that proximity is a key factor for many customers seeking backup solutions, even in the era of global ICT providers.

Similar to CRA's other data centers, DC Strahov places a strong emphasis on operational and physical security. Power is supplied via two independent routes. Backup power is provided by a diesel generator with a startup time of under 30 seconds, which undergoes monthly full-load testing to ensure reliability.
