LCA1 has commenced operations in December 2020.  It is the largest data center in Cyprus and one of the most advanced in the region, offering unparalleled reliability, security and flexibility. Designed and built to Tier III standard and even meeting several Tier IV requirements like continuous cooling and compartmentalization, LCA1 is a single tenant, detached and fenced building, featuring among others business continuity seats.  For both of our data centers we offer 99.999% SLA for electromechanical infrastructure while we maintain a record of zero downtime since 2007 that we operated our first data center.

It’s worth noting that in its first year of operation LCA1 has been awarded for reliable and efficient data center operation at the Impact Bite Awards, the most important technology and innovation awards in Greece while it has also been shortlisted as a finalist for the 2021 Middle East & Africa Data Center Development Award of the DCD Awards, often referred to as the “Oscars of the data center industry”. 

Simplex is a member of the European Data Center Association (EUDCA) and the only signatory from Cyprus for the European Climate Neutral Data Center Pact (CNDCP) while all services of the company are certified with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001:2013, ISO 14001:2015 and EMAS, demonstrating the company’s commitment to quality, security and sustainability.

Simplex sold its LCA1 data center to Cypriot telco Cyta in May 2025. Terms of the deal were not shared.
