Purple IO Ltd runs and owns its very own Data Centre, along with website hosting, virtual private servers, dedicated servers, and co-location services. Purple IO have multiple leased lines provided by Virtual 1 and Talk Talk Business allowing the business to be a stable in providing hosting solutions. Purple IO acquiring sFTP App makes great sense for business expansion and the ability to provide its very own file transfer application to its customers that use its hosting solutions. This means sFTP App's websites, API and data are now fully hosted in our very own UK data centre.

Where we are:
Our data centre is located in Colchester (UK), where you will see our private data centre warehouse. We have plenty of dedicated parking spaces for our co-location customers (upon visit approval only). See estimated travel times for driving below:

20 minutes from Ipswich.
30 minutes from Chelmsford.
15 minutes from Clacton.
1 hour from Cambridge.
1 hour from Norwich.

Our network:
We utilise the latest Cisco and Ubiquiti routers and switches at the edge of our network, with the entire network being dual IPv4 / IPv6 stacked...

We have multiple uplinks to our tier one transit providers which include: Virtual 1 (main 10Gb/s bearer), Talk Talk Business (failover 10Gb/s bearer), and Gigaclear (second failover 1Gb/s network).

As part of our disaster recovery plan, we also have our office failover networks using, Fibre ADSL (failover to tier ones at 80Mb/s), EE 5G (failover to ADSL at 300Mb/s, in the event all physical lines were destroyed or become unavailable).
