The Kuaishou Intelligent Cloud Base, located in Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia, China, is Kuaishou Technology's primary self-built datacenter. Occupying 500 acres, it is designed for AI, video processing, and big data workloads, with a planned capacity of 30,000 racks and 300,000 servers, and a storage capacity of 60 exabytes.
Construction began in 2020, with phased completion through 2025 and an official launch on July 28, 2026. The facility emphasizes green energy efficiency with a PUE of 1.08–1.15, utilizing indirect evaporative cooling and natural cold sources, leading to significant electricity savings and CO₂ reduction.
It features high-performance design with custom server clusters, modular deployment, and unified networks supporting millions of CPU cores. Strategically, it aligns with China's "East Data, West Computing" initiative, relieving computing demand from Beijing and supporting Kuaishou's short-video, live-streaming, and e-commerce platforms. The datacenter is not intended for commercial hosting services outside Kuaishou's platform.
