Huawei Sichuan Big Data Center is located in the Luzhou National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone and began operations in November 2017. Phase I of the project includes 12 modular data halls and 1,032 server cabinets, with a total building area of 13,000 square meters and a storage capacity of 1,000 PB. The facility is built to meet international T3+ and national A-level standards, supporting over 90% of Luzhou’s government cloud services and more than 450 business systems across 130+ departments.
As a core node in Southwest China’s cloud computing network, the center integrates regional resources from Sichuan, Guizhou, and Chongqing to support smart city development and digital industrial transformation. It plays a key role in sectors such as intelligent manufacturing, healthcare, and public services, with over 300 business systems and 100+ government and enterprise clients served as of April 2023.
The site spans 1.4 hectares and uses dual-grid power access with N+1 redundancy, BGP multi-operator network access, and maintains a PUE below 1.3. It has received national green data center certification and supports Luzhou’s real-time public credit information platform. Future plans include evolving the facility into an intelligent computing center by 2024, further advancing AI and big data capabilities in the region.
