China Mobile Yunnan

China Mobile’s Yunnan Data Center is a key part of the operator’s “Digital Yunnan” strategy, supporting cloud computing, big data, AI, and 5G applications across the province and into Southeast Asia. It forms part of a wider network of four provincial‑level facilities and ten city‑level nodes, designed to deliver low‑latency, high‑capacity digital infrastructure.

Located in Kunming, the site benefits from strong regional connectivity, including 1 ms, 3 ms, and 9 ms latency rings that link central Yunnan to South Asia and Southeast Asia. The facility uses advanced cooling systems, switching between water‑based chillers in summer and plate heat exchangers in winter to reduce energy consumption and maintain stable operating conditions.
