Carpere Valley Development Corp has unveiled plans for a 150MW AI data center in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, as the centerpiece of its ambitious $485 million redevelopment of the former Valley View Centre site. The project is part of a broader vision to create an “AI wellness town” that integrates high-performance computing, regenerative healthcare, and sustainable agriculture.

The 150-acre site will host the data center alongside renovated and newly constructed buildings totaling over 327,000 square feet. Notably, waste heat from the data center will be repurposed to warm adjacent greenhouses, reinforcing the project’s sustainability goals.

Carpere plans to self-finance the entire development and is working with SaskPower to secure the necessary energy infrastructure. The first phase of construction is expected to begin in late 2025 or early 2026, with a full build-out projected over five to eight years.
