IREN Mackenzie

IREN's Mackenzie data center is located in Mackenzie, British Columbia, on an 11-acre freehold site. This facility operates with a power capacity of 80MW and is powered entirely by renewable energy, primarily hydroelectricity. It is connected to the BC Hydro transmission network, ensuring a sustainable and reliable energy supply.

The data center supports approximately 15 full-time local jobs, contributing to the economic revitalization of Mackenzie, a town historically impacted by mill closures. IREN has committed to purchasing locally and contracting with local businesses whenever feasible, fostering community engagement.

By utilizing excess renewable energy from BC Hydro, the facility helps balance the electricity market and supports lower rates for other customers in the region. This initiative reflects IREN's dedication to sustainability and local economic growth.
