Litgrid AB is Lithuania’s state-owned electricity transmission system operator, responsible for maintaining the stability, reliability, and integration of the national power grid. Headquartered in Vilnius and founded in 2010, Litgrid manages over 7,000 km of overhead lines, more than 200 transformer substations, and 17 interconnections with neighboring countries.
Litgrid is majority-owned (97.5%) by EPSO-G, a holding company under the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania. Its services include grid balancing, power trading, and transmission system development, with a growing emphasis on renewable energy integration and green infrastructure investments.
