The SKY Brasil - Jaguariúna facility, located at Rod. SP-340 Km133 in Jaguariúna, Brazil, is a cutting-edge broadcast center and data center. It was designed to meet SKY's channel and service demands for the next 15 years, prioritizing reliability, availability, sustainability, and operational flexibility.
The facility is a Tier 3 data center, recognized with the Data Center Dynamics award in 2015. It features a 2N+1 configuration for its own power generation, exceeding Tier 4 standards. The infrastructure includes redundant systems for air conditioning, fire suppression, power supply and generation, signal reception and transmission, and access control, ensuring 24/7 operation.
With 17,000 m² of built area on a 33,000 m² plot, the center supports up to 700 employees. Its design incorporates advanced technologies for energy efficiency, such as internal transmitters in antennas and a heat exchange system for air conditioning that saves significant amounts of water. The project represents a substantial investment, aiming to triple SKY's capacity and serve as a redundant operation to its existing data center.
