Orange Belgium - Hoboken

The Orange Belgium - Hoboken data center, located in Antwerp, Belgium, is a 1000 m² facility opened in March 2019. It was designed with a focus on performance, sustainability, and security, featuring 3MW electrical capacity and a Power Usage Efficiency (PUE) of less than 1.2. The data center utilizes freecooling for 98% of the year and incorporates systematically redundant critical elements for resilience. It offers a total capacity of over 500 high-density racks and is equipped to manage the increasing demand for mobile data and support future technologies like 5G. Orange Belgium invested over 14 million EUR in its construction, which began in May 2017 and was completed by the end of summer 2018. The facility's energy-friendly design includes closed hot aisles cooled with an adiabatic free-cooling system, aligning with Orange's commitment to sustainability and its status as a CO²-neutral telecom operator in Belgium for its operations.
