NEXTDC has announced plans for its fifth data centre in Sydney, known as S5 Sydney. Located in the Macquarie Park availability zone, S5 Sydney data centre will provide 80MW+ of IT capacity.
Purpose-built to support high-density, next-generation workloads, S5 Sydney will be designed to Uptime Tier IV standards, delivering the highest levels of resilience, fault tolerance, and operational certainty. With approximately 16,000m² of technical space, the facility will form part of Sydney’s most connected digital infrastructure ecosystem, enabling low-latency interconnection to cloud, network, and enterprise platforms. Positioned within a key innovation precinct, S5 Sydney strengthens NEXTDC’s ability to deliver scalable, secure, and future-ready infrastructure for organisations accelerating AI, cloud, and digital transformation strategies.
