Sify Chennai 02

Sify Technologies has launched its Chennai 02 data center campus in Siruseri, Tamil Nadu. Located in Sipcot IT Park, the facility is designed to support high-density computing with an initial capacity of 26MW, eventually expanding to over 130MW across multiple phases.

The campus features an open cable landing station with space for four cables, ensuring robust connectivity. The first operational section, known as Tower B, currently has eight floors in use, with plans to expand to 27 floors. Sify has invested Rs 1,882 crore ($221 million) in the first tower, with total investment exceeding Rs 10,000 crore ($1.1 billion).

Sify aims to power 60 percent of the campus with renewable energy initially, with a long-term goal of transitioning to fully renewable sources. The company operates 12 other data centers across India and continues to expand its infrastructure to support growing digital demands.
