Tecnocrática was founded by a proven specialised team in the IT sector, most of whom were pioneers in the introduction of the Internet in Spain long ago. Tecnocrática offers network services and solutions within it's own infrastructure. Furthermore, Tecnocrática specializes in the creation and maintenance of hi-availability hosting services.

Their name is based on two concepts Art or Technique and Power or Domain. Technocracy is a form of government in which experts in technology would be in control of all decision making. Scientists, engineers, and technologists who have knowledge, expertise, or skills, would compose the governing corps. In a technocracy, decision makers would be selected upon how knowledgeable and skillful they are in their field.
