Background:
Our secure Colocation solutions are delivered from 30 metres beneath ground level, within armoured, military grade, ex-MOD, nuclear-proof facilities that are situated outside the perimeter of the M25.

We have two main facilities, one based in Ash, Kent and one in Newbury, Berkshire both of which are easily accessible by road or by train.

The Bunker has been delivering robust, ultra secure managed hosted solutions for more than 10 years.

Security:
The Bunkers Ultra* Secure Kent facility is strategically placed outside the M25, offering hightened security from both digital attacks and physical / urban disasters. The Kent Bunker was built by the MOD as a command and control centre protecting people and technology from Nuclear attack. The construction and security standards are what you might expect of such a purpose built fortress. The Bunker features top-of-the-line security systems that incorporate closed circuit TV cameras, random security patrols and restricted floor access. The Bunker is by its very nature a high security facility, built to the highest standards for the Ministry of Defence. Security at the site is made up of two distinct elements, physical security and electronic security systems. A 3.5 metre high security fence surrounds the 18-acre site. Entry to the site is via the Guardroom, fitted with bullet-proof glass . A team of security staff, many of whom are ex-military or police, maintains a physical presence in the Guardroom, regular random patrols of the site are carried out by security staff acompanied by MOD trained guard dogs together with constant monitoring of the CCTV system. Monitored infrared CCTV cameras, both above and below ground. All entry to The Bunker is monitored and recorded by security staff, both physically and via the CCTV system. Other security mechanisms are in place both on and off site, to enhance the above systems. The Bunker uses Firetrace, a unique automatic fire supression system.

If you are worried about security you are obviously not in The Bunker.

Power: The Data Centre benefits from diverse power supplies directly into the Bunker. Cables run in EMP shielded ducts from the EMP vault where surge protection takes place. There are two incoming 11,000 volt 3 phase Electricity Authority supplies with an auto changeover facility. The primary supply is a dedicated subterranean supply directly from the national grid and the secondary supply is a shared supply, backed up by two generators . There are five large bulk diesel tanks housed in the bunker, which have the capability to store in excess of a quarter of a million litres of fuel. UPS back up power is installed to provide the systems power continuity through fail over or transition to generator power.
