gigaCENTER is located close to the international airport in on a major highway Kelowna BC Canada. Kelowna was rated by CIO magazine as one of the best and safest places in North America to locate a datacenter. The building has 150,000 sq. ft. allocated to gigaCENTER and the datacenter portion was designed and engineered by IBM's Green Team to be the most efficient datacenter in the world with a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.38. Fueled by hydroelectric power gigaCENTER will be one of, if not the, greenest datacenters in its class in the world. Office space will be available for disaster recovery teams.

gigaCENTER will have 5 carriers, each at 1 Gbps or higher plus RackForce's own 10Gbps private pipe connecting Kelowna to Calgary, Toronto and down the west coast to Vancouver and Seattle. All connections redundant. Network will be instantly available on demand as gigaCENTER is using the latest in Cisco datacenter equipment that virtualizes the entire network layer inside the center.
