FREENET has obtained a Network Services Provider (NSP) license from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) paving the way for local and international IP interconnect, transit and switching services. In addition, the MCMC has awarded the ISP, ASP and VOIP Class License, which allow ISP business to run from the Internet Access Service and Network connectivity services, such as leased lines and Metro Ethernet. 

FREENET owns and operates 3 data centers in Malaysia and our network infrastructure consists of multiple global tier-1 upstream provider namely, NTT, TATA Communication, PACNET, HGC and a direct link with China ISP.  FREENET network is positioned and built to cover the best connectivity across Asia that resolve most of China, Asia Pacific and Middle East high latency and connectivity issues.  FREENET is able to customize special network routing path to achieve shorter route and lower latency for customer.  In Malaysia, FREENET is part of the Malaysia Internet Exchange (MYIX) consortium and we are direct peer with all 24 Malaysia’s internet service provider ranging from TM, Time, Maxis, Digi, Celcom and many more.
