Data Center Map

Data Center Databases
By Sune Christesen, Jul 20 2023

When Data Center Map was started in 2007, there were few places to research data center providers and no public databases as such were available with the intention of finding data centers for colocation/cloud. Since then, a lot of different databases has become available.

In this short series of blog posts, we will be highlighting some of our colleagues:

Although we have the fact in common that we build and maintain a database with a list of data centers, we all have different purposes, strategies, tools and approaches to the job. We therefore recommend checking the other sites out as well if you are doing data center research, as some of them have data and/or tools that we do not have - and vice versa.

Some focus on colocation, some on cloud, some on connectivity and others on hyperscalers and real estate. Some were created purely from a research and statistics angle, while others focus on the procurement and lead generation angle.
