Since September 2011, Foneo Datacenter NV is settling on an Internet hub near the city of Tongeren (Limburg, Belgium). The technical installations were designed and built in cooperation with Schneider Group: APC - Sarel and ABN, The Air Management Group. The result is a hyper-modern data center containing state-of-the-art, proven technologies. Embracing environmentally sustainable and cutting edge cooling technologies, the Foneo Data Center is very energy-efficient. It provides customers substantial savings, combined with state-of-the-art housing excellence.

Foneo is a carrier neutral data center with a very low ecological footprint. We provide complete solutions starting from internet access all the way to more complex solutions such as:

Co-location
Foneo offers state-of-the-art facilities for server housing. Maintained round the clock by highly trained staff, Foneo is designed and equipped to the highest industry standards - automatic fire extinguishing equipment, AC and DC redundant power distribution, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), backup generators and multiple redundant fiber connections to all major carriers (Belgacom, Mobistar, Syntigo, Telenet). The server housing service is highly flexible and can be designed to meet your specific needs.

Guaranteed power
Availability of power is essential. Each data center unit has full power backup in case of an outage. A 500 kVA generator per unit, in combination with UPS systems, guarantee maximum availability for these units.

Temperature control
All our facilities are equipped with redundant cooling equipment engineered by ABN, The Air Management Group. A combination of air-cooled ice water groups and redundant chillers with free cooling batteries guarantee maximum cooling for your equipment and or Cloud based solution. Room temperature is maintained at 22 to 25 ºC with a humidity level of 45% - 55%.

Connectivity
Redundant connection of the four principal providers: Belgacom, Mobistar, Syntigo and Telenet. Important to note is that both the connections of each provider don´t have a single point of failure (SPOF), hence this means a 100% redundant setup.

Security
Foneo Data Centre is equipped with a state-of-the-art security system to prevent unauthorized access to your equipment. Security is guaranteed on three levels: access tokens combined with a key to access the building, electronic token readers to access your unit and iris readers to access you private room (optional). Access is limited to authorized personnel only.

Fire protection
Foneo Data Center is equipped with fire detection and gas-based fire suppression systems as a first line defense against fire. These systems are automatic and monitored continuously (24 x 7). All units are equipped with hand-held fire extinguishing systems, as required by the local fire regulations.
For additional protection from fire, Foneo Data Center is using a Very Early Smoke Detection Alarm (VESDA) system. In the unlikely event of a fire, this system immediately informs the staff about the presence of smoke so they can take appropriate action.
